Company History:
INTELLIGENT established in the year of 1997, it has promote the education of Abacus & Mental-Arithmetic with the development from a small learning centre to an Academy Mental-Arithmetic today: from promoting Abacus & Mental-Arithmetic only to the private sector to an education institution which received overwhelming responses from the parents and members of the public, but also recognition from the official authorities. In 2007, we also officially became the council member of the World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic (WAAMA ASSOCIATION) in China.

During these years, we have put in continual effort in improving our course content to accommodate the local standard of Abacus & Mental-Arithmetic. Our course instructors are striving days and nights in order to acquire effective teaching methods so that our students are being taught with the best teaching methods and learn effectively.

Intelligent Mental-Arithmetic Programme enables a child to develop both his left and right brains by adopting "Both-Hand Abacus Mental-Arithmetic" teaching method. By using the left and right hands to compute at the same time, it will produce stimulating effect for those who normally under utilize their right brains. For the schooling children, the method will be of great help to them in their ability and capability of calculation, response, concentration and memory, which in turn assist them to balance their brain power and strengthen the function of both their left and right brains. Besides, we also adopt the latest teaching method of the Mental-Arithmetic is taugh by using the "New Era Abacus" and?the application of "Non-Formula", "Hidden Skill", "Digital Practice", the learning speed which is 6 times faster than the traditional one. With this innovative method, children will be able to master the art of mental-arithmetic in a more relaxed environment without having to deal with any formula.

Many people often assume that learning mental arithmetic is merely a method to improve the speed and accuracy of calculations, for example, adding 10-digit numbers within a few seconds. By itself, it is already an amazing accomplishment. However, there is more to this because when the children are learning Intelligent Mental - Arithmetic, they are actually also undergoing the process of developing other aspects of the mind. When the children have acquired an astonishing calculation speed, it shows their skills are actually only the end result of having developed the following mental abilities:- concentration, observation, visualization & imagination, memory, creativity, and thinking power.

Concentration Skill
Concentration is the concentrated and directed attention towards a particular matter with clear reflection that creates a deep image and mental impression. An enhanced concentration leads to better absorption power. Studying will then be a joyful thing for these children. In the abacus and mental arithmetic education, children will be trained to concentrate when listening to the teachers’ question (that ranges from easy to difficult) and then focus on calculating the answers based on visualizing an imaginary abacus and its beads as accurately as possible.

Observation Skill
Observation is the ability to compare and analyze and Differentiate objects, motives and steps .It is also a state of Alertness and swiftness of the mind and sense. This comes from the need of students to understand the theoretical requirements of each calculation, the use of mental arithmetic flashcards and at the same time be aware of the time and promptings from the teachers.

Visualization and Imagination Skill
By using the imagination of the right brain to visualize the abacus in mind, inevitably the powers of visualization would become sharp and clear. Einstein believes that the imagination is more important than knowledge, because imagination is the main source of yet-to-be-discovered knowledge.

Memory Skill
Memory is the ability to store and retrieve information and experiences. It has been found that memory in the left brain would not stay long, but an image that is recorded in the right brain would stay on in mind forever. By stimulating the right brain with mental arithmetic, and in combination with the alertness of the eyes, ears and hands, the ability to store and recall is developed together.

Therefore, the ability to solve 10-digit calculation questions in only a few seconds is only a small success in comparison to the actual brain development that has been achieve during the training.

Another course that we offered is Intelligent International Phonetics (IPS) Programme. It covers, among others, perfect pronunciation training, test on listening ability and recognition of derivatives. The children will save themselves from reciting from memory every single English word, doing away the old- fashioned method of learning. The foundation of English is on its grammar and grammar is based on English words. The learning of English words depends on reading and the skill of reading is by pronunciation. Without correct pronunciation during the process of learning English, children will have to spend more time in reciting from memory. The introduction of phonetic education is therefore aims at guiding the children a correct path to learn English in a relaxed manner and to cultivate their interest in the subject.
