The Humanitarian Emergency Aid Response Team Volunteers Group, otherwise known as H.E.A.R.T. Volunteers group is a non- profit, non-government, non-denominational, apolitical organisation that has begun its active participation inHumanitarian work, First-aid cover and services as well as Youth Development and training in the Brunei community since 2012. As a result, it has grown from its humble beginning of about 80 members to now about 400 members this year.
Our constituted objectives are to support and serve Brunei nation’s most unfortunate poor and needy community, looking after their welfare. We also provide First-aid medic support & services to Government agencies, other Non-government organisations (NGOs) and to their Sports, Charity & Commercial events. Currently, we have close to 400 well-trained, committed First-aid & Medic support Officers, Volunteers and School youth leaders as well as Mountain Bike, Motor Scooter, Motor Car and ATV team for Logistic support, ready to serve the community.
The main objective of this humanitarian charities event is to raise fund for theH.E.A.R.T. Humanitarian Welfare fund and H.E.A.R.T. Development & Training fund. Secondly, it is to give a portion of the fund to heart patients from RIPAS and JPMC who are in need of funds for treatment or wheelchairs. For your information, theH.E.A.R.T. Humanitarian Welfare fund is set-up to handle humanitarian relief, such as flood or fire victims, and to support the unfortunate poor & needy community in the country, mainly through giving monthly groceries and the H.E.A.R.T. Development & Training fund is set-up to upgrade our operating and training equipments, such as the training facilities/venue, bicycles, scooters, cars, ATV, medical supplies & equipments, etc.
